His gruff, unsmiling portrayal is pretty much the opposite of the eye-twinkling, sneaky joke-telling, compassionate Dumbledore that readers know and love.

Parent of a 8 and 12 year old Written by Amira December 9, I disagree with most reviewers in that the action is the movie is pretty light. And the story was unclear for anyone who had not written the book. Emotions run the gambit in this film, for the characters and the audience. The reason we like the saga though is the adventure and the surprising elements, plus Hermione Rowling herself has even insinuated they wouldn't be happy together forever because Ron would not be able to really challenge his wife and meet her intellectual needs, but then again, she said that just before the publication of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
